Intercessions July – Flora Nedelcu

Heavenly Father, we pray for our minds to be stilled and our hearts to be wide open.

We are fellow travellers in a river of faith that has flowed in this place since the foundation of Markbeech church and we ask for strength, guidance and joy in our journey of hope.

We pray for the church, congregations across the world, and we ask for your blessing on this church and parish. We thank you for the inspiring devotion of Wendy and our church wardens and we ask your blessing upon them.

Lord in your mercy….

Lord, we pray for peace in this turbulent world. We pray for truth, so often discarded. We pray for the courage to be truthful to ourselves, to speak the truth as we see it, to speak your truth, and to stand up for the truth in both public and private life.  We ask for your blessing on our Queen, and for your guidance for the leadership of our country and for the communities it contains.

Lord in your mercy…

Lord we remember those whom we grieve for, as we remember those amongst us who mourn.  We bring the living to you those known to us who suffer hurts of the body or the mind. We ask for your comfort and the healing balm of your love, for ourselves and for each other.

Lord in your mercy…

Lord we pray for our local community, the parish and churches of Markbeech, Hever and Four Elms, we ask your blessing on all who live and worship here and on the beautiful land that sustains us. We pray that we are always welcoming to those who come to visit our church, our community, the woods and walks. We pray in this long hot summer for our farmers and gardeners, who grow food and beauty in good measure to nourish us.

Merciful father, accept these prayers…..
