Children and young families

We believe that children are as much the church of today as of tomorrow. As such tey are welcome at all our services but the three family services we hold each month are likely to be more appropriate:

Second Sunday in the month at 3pm in winter and 4pm in summer – Forest Church in St.Peter’s Hever churchyard including a treasure hunt, craft and refreshments and lasting about half an hour

Third Sunday in the month at 4pm – Four Elms@4 Family service in St.Paul’s Four Elms including a quiz, craft and refreshments and also lasting abouty half an hour

Fourth Sunday in the month at 10am – Family service at Holy Trinity Markbeech with children’s choir, craft and refreshments lasting slightly over half an hour

Our fifth Sundays and major festivals (Easter, Christmas and Harvest) are Holy Communions but follow an inter-generatonal format and last about three quarters of an hour.

All these services are accessible to adults and children and are participative – we encourage families to take part if they wish.

Three times a year we hold a Contemporary evening service at 6pm in one of our churches, with music from a live band: Cabin Worship. The service lasts about an hour and is appropriate for older children and young people as well as adults.

We also have very close relationships with Hever and Four Elms primary schools both of which hold festival services in St.Peter’s or St.Pauls and Revd.Simon leads assemblies and acts of worship as well as serving as a Governor of Hever school.
